Victorious Kidss celebrates annual sports day

Pune, February 9 Victorious Kidss Educares, located near Empress Garden, celebrated its annual sports day recently. About 366 children participated in the events.

The event began with a March Past by the students after which the sports day was declared open by Robbin Ghosh, the chairman of Victorious Kidss Educares. The competition started off with a crawling race.

Speaking on the occasion, Ghosh stressed on the importance of sports and games in one’s life. He quoted Vivekanada, “We want boys and girls with nerves of steel and muscles of iron and then only we can take care of India’s growth.” He said that sports makes us couragous to take risk and accept new challenges. He stressed that this day is not about winning or losing but is about participating and having fun.

Various fun-filled and competitive sports events were held among different age groups. Beginning from the nursery level who participated in events like ‘ice cream race’ and ‘getting ready to school’ to the Junior KG students who competed in ‘bunny race’ and ‘biscuit race’ and ‘sprint racing.’

The senior KG enjoyed the grape race, where they had to run, eat grapes hanging on a rope and run towards the finish line.

There were other games like backward running race, the races of 50 and 100-meter sprint race, the three-legged race and tunnel ball.
