Chandigarh, January 15 Trouble seems to be pouring in for Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and its former employees. A day after a petition alleging bungling in the HCS selections were levelled against it, the Vigilance today filed a petition in the High Court seeking search warrants against the Commission.

The Vigilance has pleaded that it is not being allowed access to the documents pertaining to the HCS and other allied services selections made in the year 2002. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Hisar, had denied access to the documents after which the Vigilance had moved the Sessions Court, appealing for the documents. Terming the same as ‘privileged’ documents, the Sessions Court too had dismissed the petition.

The Haryana Vigilance has now approached the High Court in this regard. In its petition, the Vigilance also alleged that there were a number of complaints on charges of corruption against various officers of the Commission. After hearing the contentions, the High Court has issued notices to the HPSC.
