It was a double delight for the 45-year-old actor, as he not only pocketed the Rs one crore prize money, but also won the award for most stylish and bold inmate in the house thus entitling him for a Chevrolet Cruise.
In a widely televised and watched event attended by all evicted inmates, including the second runner-up Poonam Dhillon and the runner-up Pravesh Rana, Vindu was declared winner by Bollywood megastar and host of the show Amitabh Bachchan.
Congratulating Vindhu, Amitabh said, "I know him and his family for a long, but our personal choices do not matter. It is "desh ka adesh" that matters."
On Poonam not being declared the winner, Kamal Khan, one of the most controversial participants of the show, said, "It is not possible that a woman would have won. Shilpa Shetty had won Big Brother in a different country and under different circumstances."
Both Poonam and Pravesh termed Big Boss as an enriching experience.
True to his style, Vindu wrapped up the grand finale with a brief recital of his "Jackwa and Jilwa" (Bhhojpuri version of nursery rhyme Jack and Jill).
Among other major attractions of the event was the 'Auro dance' by none other than Big B, which he performed on being repeatedly demanded by the audience.
Vindhu has acted in Punjabi and Hindi films and television serials like "Shhhhh koi hai" and "Jai Hanuman".

how can vindhu win this show , he was the most irritating peron in the hole house. Considering his victory , it has made me belive that reality shows are scripted , who will vote for him
Amitabh tries to grab the limelight if anyone is in the sport light. Do not be so obsessed, though Paa was a hollywood copy it still did not make a difference even when you were in it. So back off, people are getting literate only the illiterates are falling but hopefully the days are not far when they will realize their foolishness to swoon over these stupid charactorless trash,
Overall it was a substandard program. If people watched such programs regularly,it reflects poorly as Indians having nothing to do. The participants displayed no skills in anything whatsoever & where below average. Only Mrs Bhaktiar,Aditi, Poonam,Pravesh were tolerable.
There were three candidates left in Big boss finale, Bindu Dara singh can be seen playing amicable role that was appreciated by viewers and itself contenders,he was came over as efficient and appropriate candidate that finally were won by voters doing SMS, convey my heartiest congratulation for Bindu and family for winning Big boss.
