New Delhi While most Bollywood stars have gone vocal about their support for Anna Hazare's fight against corruption, mega star Amitabh Bachchan has taken a subtle approach.

The 68-year-old actor says the movement comes within the Constitutional boudaries and every citizen has a right to voice their opinion.

"A movement like this comes within the constitutional boundaries of our country. In a democracy like ours, everyone has the right and freedom to voice their opinion about any issue. We understand the system and if one follows it, then there is no problem," Bachchan said.

He also maintained his covert stance while tweeting, saying that corruption has no place in the society but law and order should also be maintained.

"No one wants corruption in society and governance. To protest peacefully is our Constitutional right. The law of the

land must prevail," Bachchan wrote on Twitter.

Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Bipasha Basu, Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar and Priyanka Chopra have also come out in the support of the movement.

Freedom by Kant on 21 Aug 2011

I am all for freedom of opinion but remember it comes with a price. These actors want to voice thier opinion of ANY issue, even if that means degrading our culture. One only has to see bollywood movies and see that they have degraded our rich beautiful culture. Now they have set their sight on more degradation. They don't care about the culture or tradition as long as they get what they want and brainwash us to accept their behaviour as normal.

Anna Hazare and Bacchan by Bhaskar on 21 Aug 2011

Voicing one's opinion is acceptable. Hijacking the legislative process is not. Mr Hazare should get elected and then be part of the law making process. The constitution does not say anything about a vague 'civil society' dictating legislation. This is like pressure groups and dictators pursuing their own agendas in the 'name of the people'.

bacchans voice by RAO,PRAKASH on 20 Aug 2011

i am a bit surprised at mr bacchans stand.i agree hat the law of the land is supreme and is above the bloody mps and ministers.when the fence erected to guard the crop starts eating the crop itself, there is no use for the fence.get rid off these corrupt goondas.only problem is,that the oppsing party should live within the law.otherwise, you are exchanging one corrupt set of politicians to another.
