Pune, February 2 Western Poona Cricket Aacademy (WPCA) topped the league phase of the Kasturi Rangachar U-19 limited overs cricket tournament.

On Friday, WPCA continued their winning spree by scoring a comprehensive 47-run win over arch-rival Poona Club. WPCA thus made it five wins out of five and finished with 10 points.

WPCA's win revolved around a 112-run opening partnership between Kumar Thakkar (43) and Sanjit Jain (49). WPCA batting first posted 173/3 with Rohit Karanjkar chipping in 40. Poona Club in reply, were bowled out for 136 with Rohit claiming 4/14.

Poona Club finished second with eight points and qualified for the semis wioth Ranjane ‘A’ (6 pts) and Ranjane ‘B’ (4 pts).

In the first semis to be played on Monday, WPCA play playing Ranjane ‘A’, while Poona Club take on Ranjane ‘B’.
