Panchkula, March 15 From widening and beautification of a seasonal nallah passing the sector to renovating market toilets, the residents of the sector are a satisfied lot. They opine that the present councillor has good chances of coming to power again.

Complaints and expectations
Divender Singh, one of the shopkeepers in the ward, said, “I am very satisfied with the over all development work. The parking problem in the market has been tackled by getting the waste land near the shops made pucca and streetlights too are in working condition.” He further added that market toilets have been renovated and are in a good shape.
Similar sentiments were echoed by another resident Joginder Singh: “Biggest achievement of the councillor is to provide social security to the residents as a number of guards and chowkidars in the sector have been employed to check any untoward incident. We are satisfied with the overall sanitation condition in the sector.”
As for, Mamta Singla, a resident of the sector, said, “The overall performance of the councillor is satisfactory. The problem of water logging and stray animals is increasing with each passing day.”
For BD Arora it is high time the MC in Panchkula is abolished and the entire work of maintaining the city be given to the HUDA. “It is only to adjust favorites of political leaders that MC has been created.

Councillors speak
Councilor Seema Chaudhary said, “Most of the parks in the sector have been developed and maintained by putting up grills. Besides, the roads have been recarpeted twice with a large area of green belt developed in the sector.”
