Melbourne, June 4: All-rounder Shane Watson will replace the injured Matthew Hayden for the one-day portion of Australia's tour of the West Indies, Cricket Australia said Wednesday.

Watson will join the Australian team together with other one-day squad members in Barbados during the third test which begins June 12. Hayden was ruled out of the tour with an Achilles tendon injury.

On Tuesday, the second test ended in a draw in St. John's, Antigua, allowing Australia to retain the Frank Worrell Trophy it has held since 1995 with an unassailable 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Watson earned a recall after starring for Shane Warne's Rajasthan Royals championship-winning side during the inaugural Indian Premier League. The 26-year-old Watson scored 472 runs at an average of 42 in the IPL.

Watson's last game for Australia was the 2007 World Cup final against Sri Lanka in Barbados.

Australia will play one Twenty20 match and five limited-overs matches against the West Indies.
