"We are conducting our own investigation and once we have completed it, we will bring the findings before the people," Gilani said, adding that the evidence provided by India was being examined by investigators.
"We have our own laws and we will take action according to them. We want to assure everyone that we will not allow our soil to be used for terrorism," the premier told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Sukkur district in southern Sindh province.
Gilani made it clear that any Pakistani national found to be involved in the Mumbai attacks will not be handed over to any other country. Pakistan is taking action against terrorists and terror groups and this will continue, he added.
He also said Indian politicians should "mend their ways" as their statements were stoking tensions.
Earlier, in his address at the inauguration of Sangi Cadet College in Sukkur, Gilani said Pakistan does not want tensions in the region.
The armed forces, government and people are united to face any eventuality and to defend the country, he said.
"No one can dare cast an evil eye at the country," Gilani said. "I want to assure you that this government will complete its five-year term and solve the problems of the country," he said amid reports of differences between him and President Asif Ali Zardari.

This is what I would have done -1. Break all cultural/diplomatic/trade/communication/transport ties with Pakistan 2. Strengthen the Kashmir/Rajasthan border with extra patrols. Strengthen the Arabian sea coast line with improved radars, patrols and coastal guard 3. Introduce new law for terror - Interrogate and Eliminate with bold message (like US did to Saddam) 4. Deploy Millitary action to handle Naxalites, Maoist - Search and Destroy operations 5. Implement Missile defense shield program immediately 6. Covert operations - Search and Destroy all the Sleeping terrorist organizations (SIMI) within India and any supporters who fund/help external entities

If India has to act against terrorism, it has a lot to do right away at home! Look at the east, south and north. We have terrorists attacks taking place every now and then. Pakistan does sponser terrorist activities. BUT who is stopping us from acting on the elements within? No doubt we are doing almost nothing. Is war a good political way out to be in power again? Think of the cost and casualities of a war with Pakistan and weigh what is needed to be done to fight terrorism at home. Political gain is of course much higher if we go to war. Elimination of terrorism is not guaranted though. Look at the cost of security alerts/checks/inconvenience/fear! Who is stopping us from waging a war against insiders? Let us accept that the threat from those collaborators within is much much higher. Pity those who do not understand this simple thing.
Pak PM/President/ISI Head/Army Head/any other person cannot hand over any accused to India simply because they cannot. They are all puppets playing in the hands of plenty of terrorists outfits. The terrorists from Pak are looked upon as respectable persons acting on commands from God! India should not waste energy in trying to get any cooperation from Pak govt. Pak govt has no choice but to sponser terrorist activities if those in (so called)power want to exist! There is no law and no order there. Let's understand and accept the reality there and accordingly work our ways out. Hope the world starts talking/acting/reacting based on realities in Pakistan.

Of course Pakistan should not even think of handing over not only this one terorist but any terrorists. In fact they should execute some "surgical atacks" on India to rescue those terrorists who may be in Indians jails. I thought Gilani and others claimed these are non-state actors. Why is he now calling them Pakistanis? And since he now calls these terrorists pakistanis he can no longer hide behind the veneer of non-state actors.

Pakistan's shameless arrogance is just too annoying
Pakistan is not even a Banana Republic. It's a country that happens to be around an Army. The law and constitution is the biggest joke. It's all a matter of convinience. Terror camps and such things are nothing but people's imagination. Pakistan is a land of the pure.. pure terrorism. the only language that these irrational and human look alike animals is termination.
The cheater AQ Khan who not only stole the classified information from other countries and built the nuclear capability of Pakistan, and also further transferred it to other countries was also protected in the same manner. Sometime its necessary to realize that (i) US plays a politics and war of convenience, (ii) Pakistan is a country full of liars from its president to PM to everyone, (iii) Pakistan can never tolerate a prosperous India although they never had a capability to prosper or will never grow, (iv) Indian govt. has been too soft on terror. Indian Govt. should allow the army to take care of Kasab and kill him in public and show it live to show the terorists on what will be there fate if they at all decide to enter in India. We have to have a strong policy. No Pak PM will ever handover anyone form Pakistan. So, what are we waiting for?
