Sydney, January 7: Australia vice captain Adam Gilchrist has dismissed Indian captain Anil Kumble's criticism about the lack of sportsman spirit among the hosts and said his teammates don't regret their behaviour in the Sydney Test.

"Though I have not seen his comments or heard him, but that's what I have been told about. I think that's not right," an unrepentant Gilchrist said.

"Definitely we don't feel so and we are not sorry about anything. I do not know what he is referring to," Gilchrist told CNN-IBN.

Enraged over the on-field antics of the Aussies, Kumble, had earlier said that only one team was playing in the true spirit of the game.

The match which gave the Australia a record equaling 16th straight Test win was marred by poor umpiring and ugly on-field spat between the two sides.

India bore the brunt of umpiring blunders by Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson and the dubious dismissals of Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly on the last day cost them the match.

Gilchrist, however, was not ready to dwell on the controversies and preferred to savour the thrilling win.

"We obviously enjoyed the end result. Both the teams at any point of time in the game could say they have the upper hand and the other time forth back.

"So it's topsy-turvy and we just grabbed it from the jaws of the draw I guess. At the end it was thrill. At some of the controversial ground, there was lot of talking points but yeah look we got through," he said.

Criminals and aussies by Indi on 07 Jan 2008

Robbers, cheats and criminals will never accept there crime and so are aussies who are cheats. We are not surprised that cheats aussies are not sorry. Infact criminals will savor there crime and so are aussies. So there is no difference between criminals and aussies. If BCCI has even a milligram of selfrespect and if they believe Indian pride has been shown disregards by criminal aussies, then BCCI should call off the tour. Aussies are criminals of cricket. They are a shame to cricket. Infact cricket as a game has to bow its head, because aussies are playing it.

Act Now BCCI by ASB on 07 Jan 2008

It would be nice if the BCCI could show a little backbone and actually exit this fiasco with our head held high. To hell with the tour - why play in an environment where the spirit of the game is marred by dubious decisions and a blatant disregard for sport's ethos. Sadly though, I am sure the BCCI will buckle under so that they can keep making their money while disregarding our pride as a country..
