Asked what the filmmaker was doing at the site of a terror attack when most people were not allowed inside, Deshmukh said, "There was no bad intention in it. Many people come to such places. The television footage of the visit was provided by the government."
Deshmukh also said there was nothing wrong in his actor son Riteish accompanying him to the sites of the terror attacks.
"If my son is with me what is wrong in that? It was a big incident and he wanted to see it," Deshmukh said.
The actor and the director were seen in the entourage which accompanied the Chief Minister when he visited the Taj, the Oberoi and the Nariman House in south Mumbai.
"If people speak right thing then the media does not show it. However, I have complete respect for the opinion of all people of the state as it is a democracy and they are entitled to it," Deshmukh added.

Can't Mr Deshmukh understand what's propriety? Make a distinction between what's the official constitutional position and that of a family member? His son is not a de facto CM? Nor is the site of visit a picnic spot.Do we need such an ignoramus(there is no dearth of people like him in Politics and bureaucracy in our great country)to rule us? Our fate, what else to say. I think its our misfortune.

In Taj forces that suffered were Parsi, Hindu, and misguided Christians. Deshmukh's seclallular family has all the rights as rulers kings and princes of Mumbai and Maharashtra to go for sightseeing for future movies on seclallularism.
Also, please ask the same question to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, when the go around. Also ask the same question to Mulayam and the entire family of Lalu. Carrying sons and daughters around is common place in India (shamefully), why single out Vilasrao?

It was a foolish mistake by the CM, however lets not ignore the fact that he is a good man at his job as CM. He should publicly apologize and get on with his duties as CM.
Wish he was present with his entire family on the day of the incident

The C.M should understand, it was not a sightseeing trip.In a democracy,ofcourse people have right to speak but then you should also learn to respect peoples sentiments.
When People are burning inside and getting killed - then Deshmukh and his son was waitching and enjoying the excitement,,. and Ram Gopal Burma was taking practical inputs how to make his next film from this attack.
Deshmukh should have taken his entire family to the Taj for a biryani feast.

Truly, a matter of great shame. Deshmukh should be asked to step down with immediate effect. It is clear he sees nothing in doling out favours for friends and family.
The CM is amazing. Now we know why he should resign. We know that this guys are generally crooks. Now they sound inhuman.
He don't even think that is wrong? Wow that is great. This is the condition of country now. THe corrupt people also think what every bribe they get is right, not wrong against law. It has become a way of life and every one is forced to pay of even to do things that they are legally entitled to do. What a life for us Indians? We are cornered every where by our own politicians, officials, police force, and now terrorists. What can ordinary citizens do? They can just go to got or have to fight against, but now comes the confusion, with whom we will start. Let us start the fight with us, restrain from paying up, let us not select candidates based on caste, creed, religion...Let us not litter, respect trafic laws and then we can drive these people away.
