"This (the charges) is a political conspiracy as people don't want me to succeed as an independent legislator," Koda, a Lok Sabha MP, told newsmen in Chaibasa.
Koda said he would continue to co-operate with the investigating agencies probing into the charges against him.
Income Tax sleuths have been questioning him on and off from October 31 in connection with the Rs 2000 crore alleged hawala transactions and illegal investments after they conducted raids in 70 premises across the country and claimed to have found evidence in the case.
The ED has issued fresh summons to Koda, the third in a week, to appear before it in Ranchi on November 19. Earlier the ED had served him summons on November 13 and 15.
Koda, who yesterday wrote to the ED expressing his inability to appear before it in Delhi owing to the ensuing assembly polls in the mineral-rich state, reached here on Friday night.
The ED has made only one arrest - that of Vikas Sinha, the brother of Koda's aide Binod Sinha since the scam surfaced.
Koda, who was the chief minister between September, 2006 and August 2008, had won the Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat and has put up six candidates in the ensuing assembly elections.
His wife Gita is contesting the Jagannathpur assembly seat, which Koda had won in 2000 and 2005 which led to his being appointed a minister in Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda governments before he himself becoming the chief minister as an independent MLA.
He was the mines minister in the Munda regime and retained the portfolio after taking over the reins from him. The IT department claimed that the alleged deals in the allotment of mine leases had occurred during that period.

Koda alone cannot make so much of money.Sure politicians too will have there share in it & hence koda will be given a free chit like Raja where PM openly said Raja not to be guilty
There is major storm brewing in Andhra pradesh and Karnataka, where the Karnataka crisis may actually be a fallout of this scam. The G. Janardhan Reddy's(GJR) Obulapuram Mining Company Pvt Ltd., and few other "sister" concerns have (i) actually destroyed the border pillars separating AP and Karnataka and have carried out mining, (ii) they have also encroached on Forest Area, mines of other mining companies etc., (iii) the royalty they pay to the APMDC is peanuts. (iv) the mines are allotted on first come first serve basis (which is actually an invitation for corruption) All this happened during the rule of YSR, with sudden demise of YSR and YS Jagan not being offered the CM, GJR has been trying to secure his biz interests. Somehow, this scam which has created a storm in AP does not figure anywhere in National Media. This looks quit fishy.
No need to leave politics Mr. Koda, you will be in jail if proved guilty. Where the question arise of leaving you will be forced to do so :)
This government is not soncere in curbing corruption.There are Thousands of Madhu Koda's in the country,what you call big fishes.The Anti-corruption agencies should pick randomly some ten of them and put them behind bar.There should be no bail and if want to meet anybody ,it should be on camera till the case gets over . Otherwise all this big publicity about raid and then things are forgottten is nothing but fooling the people.Madhu Koda says he will quit politics if allegation is proved.Nation wants people like him to be hanged even if the allegation is partly true. There should be fast track courts trying such cases not taking more than three months to wrap up the cases.If general public helps the government/court with evidence shouid be rewarded.
The Jharkhand people are naive and stupid. Madhu Koda and his cronies have ammased a vast fortune from the coffers meant for Jharkhand,s people. Food for thought, do the people of Jharkhand know how much is 2,000 crores (US 433 million dollars), and what can be done with it? A world class state-of-art 3-storey, 20 classroom school building costs less than $200,000. With the money Koda had laundered (which is only the tip of an iceberg), you can construct a whopping, unbelievable 2,215 American style state-of-art schools in Jharkhand, which can easily accomodate 2,215,000 secondary students. This is only Koda's minimum assets. Probably it is countless time more, statched in unknown places. This greedy, evil and selfish Koda, his family and cronies shall burn in hell.
After amassing such huge amount, what interest Mr.Koda has to be in Politics. Mr.Koda's comments are usual and in line with every corrupt politician. It is very strange that whenever a politician is caught in any dirty act, he/she says it is "Political Vendatta".
Corruption and politics are two sides of indian politics.Indian politics can not think without corruption.Electoral politics is funded by black money. So what ever money spent for fighting or wining election, the same is recouped after grabing the power in the tune of hundred and thousands times. Corruption and black money is the elixir of indian politician. The erstwhile slogan "politics for serving the people or nation is an absurd" in the present indian political system. Koda is not the first case. It is the usual phenomena of indian politics. These are flashed out according to necessity of electoral politics.Thousands of Kodas are there, but who will nab them.After all one Koda can not nab another Koda, but they can align together for the interest of Kodaism.

It is time people of India in a single voice raise and demand political reforms from all parties. 1. Politicians should have minimum education and civil experience. 2. Politicians should disclose all their assets 3. Any criminal case against them - they should be banned from politics and any politics related business ( party positions etc , civil positions etc). why has nothing been done against him. the ed keeps issuing summons one after another..why is not action happening by ed or it?
Mr. Koda your bank accounts/transfers have already proved you to be guilty. So without wasting more of tax--payers' money on pointless investigations, please surrender yourself alongwith ill-gotton money and go behind the bars till death.
So sad that like the Congress gave a 'clean chit' to the telecom spectrum scam of Mr. Raja it is now slowly but surely moving to do the same thing for Mr. Koda. Where is this great nation heading?
In my frank opinion Koda is definitely involved and is playing to gain time and get more supporters only. In our country politicians have a hoodwinking words " POLITICAL MOTIVATION" to gain time. Now that is what one calls EK CHORI AUR PHIR SENA ZOURI. a good offense is a good defense. One should first ask the Govt of India that why he has not been arrested so far??? Are we waiting him to disappear from India and than cry over split milk. Has India been recover any of such funds? Why was he hospitalized and are the Doctors not involved or scared of their livelihood as long as he is out of jail? What kind of Law and Order do we have? Yesterday it was Sharma out on parole being a son of MLA and Mr. Koda had been a CM so he must have lot of influence. Who provided all those funds and what action is being taken against them? It is evident that India is sinking every year in such scams and since most of the crooks get away and 30% of MP are with criminal records, there is now ay Indians public can see any relief from such cases. If the charges are proved, Koda should not only quit politics, he should be hung by his balls.

From Mr. Koda's statement it seems that this is all a mere show for sometime.Everything must have been arranged to get his name removed from the list of"BIG FISH" of P.M.and he must be sure to remain in politics.Otherwise in India no politician likes to leave chair until Almighty takes him away.It seems after all arrangements(like that of Mr.Q) must have been made,statement might have been issued.
Well, you don't have to quit politics if charges are proven. Someone else will be making decision for you rest of your life, when to eat, where to sit, sleep. You don't have to worry about politics
if charges are proven, all his assets should be confiscated, for use for tribal welfare programmes, the mines run by him nationalized and he should be jailed for life. constitution should be amemnded to make it illegal for anti-nationals in jail contesting elerctions from the jails.
Mr. ram van seems to be unfamiliar with the Indian Political arrangements made for the Neta Thugs and their relatives. They rule from their graves then what few bars and locked doors of a jail could prevent Mr. Koda and others from ruling? Koda's reaction to allegation against him is a big joke.He says he will quit politics if charges are proved! If charges are proved he will have to go to jail and there is no question of his remaining in politics. However, in India which corrupt politician has ever gone to jail and who will ever in future. Laws are different for Indian politicians.It will be a matter of few months when everyone will forget about Koda and his 'deeds'.
