Anita Uddaiya, who saw the ten terrorists arrive at the Fisherman's Colony in Cuffe Parade on November 26, has been missing since January 11.
Police said they have launched a manhunt for the missing witness, who had been taken to the J J Hospital earlier to identify the bodies of the nine killed terrorists.
The missing person’s complaint was lodged by Uddaiya's daughter after she went missing from her house in the Cuffe Parade's Fisherman's Colony.
The Crime Branch of the city police, which is the investigating agency in the November 26 terror attacks, has also launched a probe into the incident.
"We are also probing the disappearance of the lady since she is a witness in the case," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said.
However, Uddaiya was not a key witness in the trial of arrested terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, he said.

When Mumbai got attacked severly, we didn't see muslims did start condemning with posters and not come to street to agitate it, but when Palestean (Gaza) got attacked they flooded to street to condemn the attack. So, you can ask yourself or think about these people, how you can expect a support for Indian security when whole heart is with Pakistan or religious state? There are very good number of people in India who are giving great support to the terrorists in the name of religion. Most of them are not terrorist, but they have support for terrorist. This Govt is never going to take a strict action against those people in the name of vote politics. So terrorism is never going to be erodicated in India even if it is going to be removed from Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries. Simple reason, India has no guts and backbone.
It shows that the govt is not serious about defending our nations. The only thing that is accomplished is that there is no security to witnesses and the media is reporting matters of sensitivity without much forethought. If the govt was indeed serious about Mumbai attacks, they would have kept delicate info secret and given security to witnesses, and taken action against Pakistan by not talking with them on proof and just severed ties with them. They are still talking and the pakis are still saying this is not proof, knowing very well that the pakis will never say they are guilty when it comes to anything happening in India. Why do we need pakistan's permission to severe ties with htem. Congress, you people keep on playing politics with votes and you will have the whole naitons curse upon you.

Well as commented before couple of times I would once again assert that there is every possibility of Kasab,the only caught terrorist,will be killed or perhaps kidnapped.Without any doubt this was work of Pak ISI but there had been ehlp/support from traitorous elements in India.After all 80% Muslims in India are pro-Pak and 20% Hindus and others are most corrupt,easy to be bought and are anti-Nation.Like these 20% there are many more who knowing the facts about treacherous and most selfish congress/UPA politicians and still vote for them.This all for just some money and hopes for future benefits.Who knows if someone from our police is involved to make this Lady-witness get lost!The other possibility is that she had a fantasiful idea to be in media.Why the hell this police officer must say "How ever,Uddaiya was(note difference between Was and Is)not a key witness of arrested Kasab?That means she could see all ten but not Kassab another point to contraverse for Pak and others.Foolish
What the hell is happening here. Shouldnt this lady and all the other witness be in protective custody to ensure their statements are recorded and they are secure. ONE this govt cannot protect us from terrorist SECOND it is on a losing streak when it comes to eyewitnesses of the ghastardly act. Shame on all of us to elect these guys.

What about witness protection ion important casrs. i thin some of the police forces in India can be compared to the French Cinama inspector Crusoe played.
