New Delhi, January 30 A woman turned up at a mandap where her husband was to marry another girl, in the Prasad Nagar area of central Delhi, and beat him up. Reena (28) came to the Tank Road venue where her husband, Mukesh Khanna (32), was to marry Santosh late on Tuesday night. Reena and Mukesh reportedly have a two-year-old daughter and are not divorced.

Reena alleged in front of the crowd that Khanna was married to her and the couple have a daughter. Reena also showed her marriage photographs. After this revelation, the new bride’s family members beat up Khanna, his father Mangal Singh and the other baraatis. Father and son were arrested and booked at the Prasad Nagar police station today.

Khanna is a resident of the Shakurpur area in Saraswati Vihar and runs a placement agency. He met Reena four years ago, when she had come from Jharkhand looking for a job, and married her.

Reena reportedly brought girls from Jharkhand for his agency. Last year in May, Khanna got engaged with Kanhaiya Lal’s daughter Santosh in Prasad Nagar.

She reported the matter to the police but seeing no action decided to unravel the truth at the marriage venue itself.
