Women cricketer’s squad for England tour picked

Mumbai, July 8: The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) short-listed 25 women probable for a 10-day fitness camp to prepare them for the ensuing tour of England.

They were picked in Mumbai on Tuesday by the national selection committee for women's cricket for the camp to be held from July 20-30, a BCCI media release said.

The campers are: Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Jaya Sharma, Hemlata Kala, Anjum Chopra, Rumeli Dhar, Karuna Jain, Sulakshana Naik, Anagha Deshpande, Amita Sharma, Snehal Pradhan, Asha Rawat, Neetu David, Seema Pujare, Priti Dimri, Devika Palshikar, Priyanka Roy, M D Trushkamini, Poonam Raut, Diana David, Monica Sumra, Niranjana Nagarajan, Pallavi Bharadwaj, Gauhar Sultan and Swaroopa Kadam.

Two players Pallavi Bharadwaj (MPCA) and Trushkamini (TNCA) have been selected to train at the Centre for Excellence, run by Cricket Australia, from August 11-22, the release added.
