Australia win toss, elect to bat against India

Adelaide Australian captain Michael Clarke won the toss and elected to bat against India in their tri-series ODI cricket match here today.

India have made two changes to the side that won against Sri Lanka, resting veteran Sachin Tendulkar and leaving out pacer Praveen Kumar for Gautam Gambhir and Umesh Yadav respectively.

Australia have decided to give young Queenslander Peter Forrest a break in international cricket and he comes in place of a rested Mike Hussey.

Teams:

Australia: Michael Clarke (c), Dan Christian, Xavier Doherty, Peter Forrest, Ryan Harris, David Hussey, Mitchell Marsh, Clint McKay, Ricky Ponting, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade and David Warner.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (c), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravinder Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar and Vinay Kumar.

Umpires: Nigel Llong (Eng) and Paul Reiffel (Aus)

Third Umpire: Bruce Oxenford (Aus)

Match referee: Andy Pycroft (Zimbabwe)
