New Delhi With tears in his eyes, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa blamed the dissidents for shifting focus from relief work to politics as dissident Reddy brothers held out despite a reported compromise formula.

"I apologise to the flood victims. When they are facing so many problems, we should not have wasted time on this crisis," he told Kannada channel "Suvarna".

He said the people he trusted did not support him. "I should have not been distracted. I hope God will forgive me," the Chief Minister said.

How many chief ministers cried for their people?,none,i suppose.Mr.yedurappa is doing great as karnatka's cheif minister. His tears showcase how sympathetic he is towards flood-hit population in his state.seldom we come across a politician like him.

Hello

Social by S.Chidambaresa Iyer on 08 Nov 2009

Yeddiyurapp is a sincere person. He wanted to do something tangible for Karnataka. he is not corrupt or avaricious. It is a pity that he is not understood by his colleagues. He has to exit because he does not enjoy majority. Unfortunate.

Yeduyurappa by Kumar on 08 Nov 2009

It was unfortunate that K'taka has no stable goverment for decades despite strong election victories. People are enterprsisng so the growth, that would have been many fold better(Eg B'Lore Metro, Roads...etc). For BJP its National leadership again showing its weak unorganised stature depite so many setbakcs. Idealy leadership should not concede to corrupt reddy bros, instead ask CM to request to Governor to dissolve assembly and face fresh elections to side line antinational mine mafia.

yeddy must go by dominic on 08 Nov 2009

This just the beginning Mr Ex CM Yeddy !! Nemesis has caught up with you , the sooner you resign and go the lesser will be your humiliation!! The more you linger when you are not wanted the more tears you will shed - in fact you are fated to shed tears of blood ! Remember how you strutted around last year while managalore burned , the injustices that you and your BJP govt prevailed over. God has judged you and your time has come. Resign and quit politics and repent.

dominic by john on 09 Nov 2009

Looks like you have gone crazy and bolt has loosened.Time to use the brain if at all if u have one and express your opinion .God bless.

Yeddy must resign by dominic on 08 Nov 2009

The Truth is that yeddy is shamelessly clinging to power even though the game is over. If Yeddy really cares fro the people of Karnataka - he SHOULD Resign ASAP.Yeddy is a great failure and a disaster to karnataka - no point hanging on mr yeddy - you've lost your chaddi !

Reddies, dont play with kannada sentiments. by Bhagath on 08 Nov 2009

Reddies may or may not win the power battle with BSY.But remember, the retaliation by the people will be severe. This will be the end of reddie brothers mafia rise for ever.

Why cry like a girl? by Lalit on 07 Nov 2009

What kind of RSS man is this weak worthless chief minister to cry on TV like a teenage girl? If your enemies push you, you either push back harder, or withdraw to fight another day better armed, seeking brutal retribution and vengeance! What kind of unmanliness is this - either be valiant like a Prithiviraj Chauhan, Shivaji, or Subhash Chandra Bose, OR be wily and clever like a Muhammud Ghori or Chanakya - either option is fine - if you want to cry like a stupid girl, go to a day time talk show in the US like Oprah or Dr Phil - the dirty backstabbing world of Indian politics is not the place for you, Mr. Yeddyurappa!

Politics by R.Thyagarajjan on 07 Nov 2009

The present crisis is, than God, on who to lead the state and not a division on ideology . Had it been it would have been a blow to BJP. This is only the first state to be taken by BJP in south .Never BJP would have returned to Karnataka again if there was a split. It is good to hear a patch up came. Congress is waiting on the boundaries

Congress is behind this by SirG on 07 Nov 2009

Grapevine has it that the Congress is behind all this mess. Apparently the Congress party, through their functionaries in Andhra Pradesh, secretly threatened the Reddys that their mining empire (which, strictly speaking, falls under the jurisdiction of the AP government) will be closed down by the Andhra government unless they brought down the BJP government in Karnataka. The greedy Reddys, obviously slaves to their wealth and power, found this threat too menacing, and sinners that they are, had no qualms about precipitating this crisis and bringing the government to a complete halt, thereby causing untold suffering to the millions of flood-affected people. But this act of theirs will not go unpunished. They will receive the full Karmic payback to their actions. Nemesis awaits them. The curse of millions of people is upon them, and it will have its effect. And the Congress too. What a corrupt-to-the-core party they are. They will reap the Karma too, and in full measure.

He is a rare politician who is honest enough by L.C.bilandani on 07 Nov 2009

God bless your Mr.Yedduruppa, you are an honest politician and just to tarnish the image of BJP and you, these Reddy brothers have tried to destablise you, while you were busy working for the flood affected people.Just to bring disrepute to you and your party they have created all the trouble so that you may not be able to work. You did a nice job and the one who has real pain in the heart can only cry. Go ahead and sack these dissidents as people too know the fact.Reddy brothers will be punished by you,the people and God.Go ahead and sack them first and resume your job of flood relief work. Please dont waste time to sack them or recommend dissolution of assembly.

Mr. Yeddy - Honest Politician by George on 07 Nov 2009

Mr. Bilandani, Mr. yedddy - honest politician, you may be joking. You know how he targetted his fellow BJP men like Mr. Shettar, Mr. Shankermurthy, etc. and you know how he made his son as MP. If you don't know, do not call him as honest politician.

George? the curious George? by Vinay on 08 Nov 2009

George - are you the same curious George from TV? Because you did not make any sense at all. What has Honest politician got to do with Shettar and putter?

Reddy brothers' back stabbing. by C.Swaminathan on 07 Nov 2009

Reddy brothers Without any valid reasons want to dethrone Yddyurappa because he may be the main hindrance for their mining scam. they are owning vast areaof iron mines and minting money legally and illegally. Also they are the main financiers for BJP in Karnataka as well as to headquarters and BJP high command does not want to loose the golden goose. that is why they dont want to help Yddyurappa. BJP definitely loose the confidence of Karnataka common man and will get defeated soon. Mines should be nationalised. No private parties should be benifited. Reddy brothers black mailing the CM and the high command does not have guts to stop them. Poor K'CM.

he can serve with out being CM also by easwaran on 07 Nov 2009

it is show pice if this man is really serious in serving the fellow citizens of Karnataka, he can do so willingly, if he has the courage to forgo the CM POST, CAN HE and will he forgo the comfort of CM POST NEVER, i have not heard any politician bearing the Late Kamaraj of congress- tamilnadu who willingly forgo the comfort of being cm and really served the public i do not think the current politician has the mental make up perhaps this is due to his cm post being in danger he must be crying or else why not he forgo the cm gaddi if he is sure of people support he can always come back does the BJP has the guts to face the people with so much infighting in the withering BJP what else this man who visit only temples and not the huts of a common man these politicians knows not what is suffering or hunger. shame on this country freedom we paid huge price but the current politicians are only looting the public kodava is an example and now mr.yeddi and reddy are the people are ready

Sins do come home to roost by Naim Naqvi on 07 Nov 2009

The CM should have shed the tears when he was giving long rope to the chief instigators of communal riots Jagdish Karanth, Pramod Muthalik, Bopayya, Devayya, Somesh and Sunil Subramani. These criminals must have been punished by now as with their chicanery and collusions there was every danger of repeat of communal conflagrations. You should have constantly monitored the activities of extremist communal outfits. Many local newspapers, especially %u2018Shakti%u2018, have been the mouthpiece of the Sangh Parivar and have spread venom that has vitiated the atmosphere of the state and country. What did you do against them? Now the milk is split and you%u2019re in the doldrums. You cry but its too late. Reddys have trounced you in your den with their money might and you're helpless. BJP chattel in Karnataka and Delhi as well is like a cauldron of crabs now. Wait and watch till this internecine fight makes the BJP disappear in state like in U.P. Let us learn that sins come do home to roost one day.

Form a regional party in Karnatka by D.R.Gulati on 07 Nov 2009

Shame to BJP by Bhat on 07 Nov 2009

Not at all justifiable situation in BJP..When there is a situation of after flood the the elected candidates must physically presence and look after the restoration work. Instead they are enjoying in luxury stay.Shameful to the whole party.

Karnatka would never forgive these Reddy brothers by Psuod on 07 Nov 2009

Karnatka would never forgive these Reddy brothers. I urge people to send them packing to bellary.

Read Comment by BL Ananthappa on 07 Nov 2009

Why do you think the Reddy's are in power today? They have spent a part of their ill gotten wealth for the improvement of their constituency. After all, they are experts of how to buy anything with their money power. They brought a lame dog to the CMs chair, and are now teaching it new tricks. My words for Reddy is "You cannot teach an old dog new tricks". Good luck and I believe that you will again suceed in fooling the people to vote for you.

Rowdy Reddy's should be deported to Andra by rupees on 07 Nov 2009

I think these Rowdy Reddys should be deported across the border to Hyderabad where they are currently lodged and having a gala time at the cost of Karnataka taxpayers. I think these rogues are only concerned about they business and illegal mining and holding the chief minister at ransom when he tried to limit their corruption and rowdism. Its high time an ED raid like the one on Madhu Koda is ordered on these Rowdies so that we know exactly how much of illegal, ill-earned wealth they are worth.

Why is crying? by George on 07 Nov 2009

Mr. Yeddi is not a saint in the politics. He won the 2008 election with the money power of Reddy's. Today he is crying not becuase of people, only he is loosing his grip in the chair and non-supportive nature of central BJP leaders because of Mr. Ananth Kumar.

Yeddy should expell Reddys and other dissendant MLAS by Mallikarjun on 07 Nov 2009

Kanrnataka is not the puppet of reddys. Yeddi should go ahead with expelling these cheap MLAS who are njoying in resorts and hotels. They are not born to serve public rather own. People will not elect them again if they dont concentrate on relief of flood affected people. It is a shame on Jagadeesh Shatter also who is bulging to reddys and thier money power. He too has lost any morality which people of North Karnataka had on him. A shame for all BJP and its party workers. God will never forgive anyone. Redyys will suffer from all kind of costlier diseases It is not a statement but a reality of future.

Reddys the Bottleneck by shanthanu on 07 Nov 2009

The sufferings of lack of flood victims will not go in vain and these Reddys will receive the curse in equal measures..They are Shakunis trying to fish in the troubled waters.

BJP should remove Reddys n other dissidents without delay by manoj on 07 Nov 2009

These outsiders Reddys and all those supporting them should be asked by BJP to quit immdtly. Yeddyurappa is a good man and has been working for the welfare of the people. BJP leadership shud not bog down to these outsiders at any cost. They should be thrown out from party. BJP should go bak again for the elections.
