Medical officer Rajendra Bhanudas Mohite of Shukrawar Peth then lodged the police complaint. The hospital staff suspects that the accused came in a burkha as the section is reserved for the females. Considering the seriousness of the case, Director General of Health Services Dr P P Doke took a review of the hospital security on Saturday. "We found a ladder and a heap of mud around the hospital walls adjoining which there is an under construction building. It was easy to enter the hospital from this spot. So we removed the ladder and also cleared the mud as a precautionary measure," Doke said. "We have also decided to raise a barbed fence,” he added. Doke said that there was no particular reason for lodging the police complaint late.
"Besides molestation case, we have also found some electric wires missing from a new ward at the hospital. So we would be lodging a separate police complaint for theft," he said.
Meanwhile, it was known that the victim is a native of Satara district and she was admitted here about 20 years back.
