Younis said there was no disagreement over any issue.
"These reports are absolutely baseless. I am looking ahead to leading the team in Bangalore and there is no rift or disagreement among the players over anything," Younis was quoted as saying in The Dawn.
However, the Jang newspaper said Younis was reluctant to lead the side because he was ignored by the tour selection committee while deciding the team for the Kolkata Test.
Younis dismissed these reports as rumours and said there was no truth in them.
"These reports are being spread to harm the spirit of our team which is pretty confident about levelling the series against India here (Bangalore)," he said.
Younis however admitted that he was taken aback when he was not consulted while selecting the team for the second Test but said the matter was resolved.
"That had really annoyed me but things have since been sorted out," he said.
Media manager Ehsan Malik when contacted also denied any crisis developing on the eve of the Test.
"Believe me there is no truth in these rumours and everything is fine. The spirits are high and the players are geared up to give a good fight to the Indians in the final Test," Malik said.
