These would be distributed among six institutes including Hamari Kaksha, Pustak, Prayas, Theatre Age, Sadhna and a centre run by St Stephen’s School, Sector 45.
The event saw cultural performances by students of the schools for the underprivileged and the mentally challenged. It provided a platform to the students to showcase their talent. Dance and theatre groups presented different items on the occasion.
The issue of drug-addiction was given importance. A play on drug de-addiction was staged by students of Theatre Age. ASP Madhu Verma highlighted the ill effects of drugs.
Saloni Bajaj, a member of the group, revealed that children would be provided books, clothes, food, etc under this initiative.
Youth United aims to provide a common platform to all sections of the society, thus contributing towards national integrity, fraternity and prosperity.
