New Delhi, May 4: Parliamentarians can now flex their muscles in the ‘Zero Hour’ and then rush to the ‘Well’ for a cup of cappuccino! And, they needn't worry about any privilege motion or notice since this has the approval of Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

The 'Constitution Club' in the national capital, a hub of MPs and former MPs, is planning to name its newly built gymnasium as ‘Zero Hour’ and the cafeteria ‘The Well’, while the modern spa is likely to be called ‘Guillotine’.

The club's renovation project, under the supervision of a committee appointed by Chatterjee, is in the final stage.

The club, situated at a stone's throw distance from the Parliament House, is getting ready with the state-of-the-art facilities for the members and ex-members of the House.

After renovation, it will have a gymnasium, modern spa, restaurant, business centre, billiards, swimming and other sports facilities.

"It all started with the idea of naming the sections of the renovated Constitution Club differently. We have tried our best to offer the best possible amenities in this club," Secretary of the House Committee Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

"The concept of the guillotine is of a place which would be devoid of all discussions and debates. A spa, we found, could be one such place. Separate for men and women, it would be equipped with all kinds of modern facilities," Rudy added.
