Abhishek takes DPS into Chaturvedi cricket semis

Lucknow, January 1 A four wicket haul by by Abhishek was the highlight of the match as his team— Delhi Public School (DPS) defeated St Fidelis College by five wickets in their quarter-final match of the 10th Avinash Chaturvedi Memorial Cricket Tournament at Chowk Stadium here on Tuesday. Abhishek took the four wickets giving away 14 runs in his five over spell.

Batting first, St Fidelis College was bowled out at a totalof 106 runs in 29 overs in the 35 overs-a-side match. In reply, DPS romped home after attaining the set mark in 20.3 overs losing five wickets.

Delhi Public School: 108 for five in 20.3 overs (Pranav Pandey 30, Abhishek 20, Neeraj 14 not out; Shivam Singh 2 for 21, Akshdeep Nath 2 for 38).

Vikrant, Rohan,Ankur excel

A commendable bowling performance by Vikrant Singh (4 for 25) and responsible batting performances by Rohan Bambi (58) and Ankur Tiwari (48 not out) aided Jaipuria School in registering an eight wicket victory against Bright Way College in their quarter-final match of the Avinash Chaturvedi Cricket at Colvin College grounds, here.
