Police said Jethva was an accomplice of the accused Sagar Sunilkumar Patel (20) and Sachin Venubhai Rawal (25), both from Nizampur district of Badoda, who were arrested on October 8, 2006 for allegedly cheating customers through e-trading from the website of e-bay company.

The duo had posted an advertisement on e-bay's website for selling mobile phones at a price much less than the market cost. Mohammad Hasan of Mangaldas Road, Pune was lured with the offer. Hasan placed an order for a mobile phone by depositing money of Rs 30,000. But he never got the mobile phone. So he lodged a complaint with the cyber crime cell.

Police arrested Patel and Rawal in Badoda. Investigations revealed they were using courier service of Jethva for posting the products purchased by their online customers. But they stopped sending the products when Jethva suggested them to do so for earning more money. Since then Pune police has been searching for Jethva.
