Chavan said that with our modern lifestyles, humans have to led global warming. “Our way of luxurious living has only added to the problem of climate change,” she said.
She said that questions remains is how can the issue be tackled - economically, socially and politically.
She emphasised that globally, the mercury was already rising up and the situation was even more in sensitive polar regions .
“Now is the right time for us to do our bit and help in reducing global warming. We can change our style of living and be an example to others. Thus, we can save the environment for our next generations,” she said.
Praising NDA for greener and pollution free environment, she appreciated steps taken by NDA to keep their campus greener.
