Ludhiana Leading advertisement companies of Ludhiana today met chief parliamentary secretary Harish Rai Dhand and submitted him a memorandum pointing to loopholes of other companies.

A total of 13 companies have joined hands, who are alleging that the issue of allotting 100 sites to three companies is a misleading proposal. As per the members of this association, the three companies who have offered 100 sites are actually having 1,00000 sq feet area in which they will be using 300 sites in the name of 100 officially allotted sites and hence MC will be losing revenue.

Even changes are being made in the tenders, said the association members. The members said that MC should bring separate tenders for roundabouts, flyovers, leading roads, main markets etc. This will lead to higher bids and more revenue will be generated. However in the present system, only one party will be benefited and competition will be less.

Even the old reciepts of many advertisers are not being renewed because MC wanted to favour the big players, they alleged. They reurged Dhanda to shuffle the officers of advertisement branch

The members who submitted memorandum included-outdoor publicity, Kshitij Arts, Ad World 360 degrees, Image advertisers, The Mileage, Adwantage, Signage, Dynamic Media, Fox Vision, Azad Arts etc.
