Kolkata Even as the Air India strike was called off on Wednesday evening, it left several passengers from the state and across the country harassed over the last two days.

“Till now, six flights from Dum Dum have been cancelled. They are IC 287 for Port Blair, IC 2752 for Agartala, IC 243 for Aizwal, IC 211 for Silchar and IC 721 for Bagdogra,” said Pulak Mukherjee, chief public relations officer, Air India’s Kolkata office.

The strike was initially called by the All India Aircraft Engineers’ Association (AIAEA), and later supported by Air Corporation Employees’ Union (ACEU).

Air India has made all efforts to intimate its passengers, said Mukherjee, adding: “But, it has not been possible to inform all. Air India is trying to endorse stranded passengers on private flights or give them full refunds, including taxi fares.”
