Gurgaon, February 1 A Rajasthan judge has been named in a case for threatening a government official following the raid at MDLR Airlines Gurgaon office on Thursday night. The Income Tax officials were collecting documents and evidence when around 12 miscreants tried to threaten and scare them away.

The incident took place around 10.30 pm on Thursday. The police were called but most of the trouble makers escaped. Police have registered a case against 25 persons, including the judge at the Civil Lines Police Station. Gobind Agarwal, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate from Rajasthan, was also present during the incident and was called in for questioning on Friday.

According to Station House Master Tahir Hussain, “The miscreants were all relatives of the owner MDLR, Gopal Goyal. They might have also hired some people to scare the I-T officials.” The police have recovered all three cars used by the miscreants — Tata Indica, Safari and a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Only one person has been arrested in the case — Motilal, the driver of one of the vehicles, said the police.

The case charges all 24 people with threatening government officials and disrupting peace.

The I-T raids were carried out at various offices of MDLR Airlines in the National Capital Region on Thursday, following a tip off that the owners had accumulated wealth much beyond their declared means.
