Mumbai, January 1 Opener Ajinkya Parte and Yash Chavan helped Don Bosco (Matunga) to a healthy first innings score of 369 against IES Digamma Parker (Dadar) on the opening day of the second round of the MSSA-NIKE Giles Shield (Elite Division) Inter-school cricket tournament, co-sponsored by Saran Sports and played at Cross Maidan here on Tuesday.

However, both were distinctly unlucky to miss centuries. Ajinkya fell leg before to leftarm spinner Ausaf Chunawala for 93, while Yash was run out for 92.

A captain's unbeaten century (batting 113) by Vikrant Auti featured in Shardashram (English)'s impressive total of 341 for 5 against IES New English.
