Chandigarh Voices demanding SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal as the Chief Minister of Punjab are getting louder. Last week, at a rally at village in Moga district, several senior Akali leaders openly demanded that the junior Badal be made the CM.

In their speech, Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency candidate and Bathinda MP Parmjeet Kaur Gulshan, party's senior vice-president Gurdev Singh Badal and Tota Singh, among other party leaders, demanded that Sukhbir be soon appointed as the next Chief Minister of the state.

Sukhbir was on stage when leaders expressed their sentiments, and even elicited the response from the crowd also. They said the role of junior Badal in initiating development projects in the state was laudable and once he sits on the CM's chair, this pace stands to see a boost. Talks of Sukhbir as the CM have been there ever since the SAD-BJP government took over reins.
