New Delhi, February 4 Another resignation has rocked the Delhi Soccer Association. Former secretary Syed Nasir Ali today quit as executive committee member, accusing the association of not functioning properly.

Eighteen days ago four members of the association—Hem Chand and Sharafatullah (vice-presidents), Mohammad Aziz (joint-secretary) and Mohammad Sultan (member) quit their posts. They said it was because of the absence of “positive” response from the association.

Ali has alleged that DSA secretary NK Bhatia takes arbitrary decisions on matters without consulting others. In his letter to Subhash Chopra, president DSA, Ali has stated that the association has failed to live up to its promise. He also alleged that the association had failed to call the annual general body meeting for one and-a-half years.

When contacted by Sportline, Bhatia refuted the charges saying that Ali belonged to the same group that had quit earlier. “They don’t work, and then direct allegations against us. They should attend the meetings and speak out.”
