Garg was arrested on charges of rape on Thursday.

The Aligrah police team led by Inspector Chandra Shekhar Singh Raghuvanshi, along with the complainant Seema and her fiance Nasim, visited the house in Allahabad, in which the couple was staying.

“The laptop, Secretariat I-card and audiocassette are sufficient to establish charges against Garg,” Raghuvanshi told The Indian Express.

Seema, a resident of Aligarh, told the police: “A few years ago, Garg had burnt a CD, which had my pictures in objectionable positions. He had been blackmailing me ever since. Tired with his regular threats, Nasim and I decided to teach him a lesson.”

She further added: “I asked Garg to visit me on December 11. He came to my room on the sly and we put up the pretence of being father and daughter. It was there that we established a physical relationship, which was

secretly captured on camera by Nasim.”

Seema told the police that she had shifted to Allahabad three months ago.

The police have recovered two bags of her belongings from the house.

“The laptop would throw more light on Garg,” she said.

The police refused to disclose more information citing confidentiality of the investigation.

On December 31, Seema had lodged a complaint that Garg had been sexually exploiting her since 2003.
