"This contest aims to promote the talent and confidence of the city women that they generally lose out on after marriage. Punjabi women have got the potential and have the intelligence and confidence to prove thier mettle," said Parminder Singh, one of the organisers.

"In the present era, when the whole world is modernising and progressing, the married women of Punjab aspiring to make it big in the fashion and glamour world have been exposed to a competitive environment, wherein their intellect can be further nurtured. Punjabi women have made their presence felt in various fields. Today, they excel in almost every area of economy and are making their mark in various fields," he added.

Entries were invited from women of the city aged below 35 years and with or above a height of 5’ 3''. “We got 45 entries and after two auditions, we selected 20 finalists,” informed Parminder.

The names of the finalists are Ramandeep Kaur Pawar, Kajal Puri, Priya Bedi, Simarpreet Kaur, Surbhi Sharma, Adv Harpal Kaur, Rajni Joshi, Umang, Ashima Sethi, Rashmi, Ishita Verma, Sonia Modgill, Jyoti Dhanda, Nishu Khanna, Harpreet Kaur, Sushma Johar, Navalpreet Kaur, Sumeet Kaur, Jagdeep Kaur and Kashish Dawar. All these finalists were trained by chorographer Vikrant Sharma and personality groomer Anish Malik.

The 20 finalists will showcase their talent in two modelling rounds, talent round (for ten selected participants). In the latter round, selected contestants will be asked to either dance, act or sing.

Thereafter, there will be a Question and Answer Round (For six selected participants in which judges will question the selected contestants on general knowledge and related to routine life).
