Pune, February 22 An Amusement Park, much like the one at Nigdi, is likely to come up on the Khadki Cantonment Board terrain. A proposal to this effect was passed at the board meeting on Thursday. The project will come up on six acres. KCB president Sanjiv Talwar on Thursday okayed the project, as also the hockey stadium work.

The hockey stadium is being constructed on nine acres. The work is scheduled to start in four months . "A no objection certificate has been issued by the Army Station Head Quarters for reclassification of the land. So the work should begin soon," said KCB assistant engineer A G Godbole.

Apart from the hockey ground, there are plans to start a "warming up" area for the players, a hostel that can house six teams of 20 players each, a gymnasium and a cafeteria.
