The parliamentary debate allowed for 20 minutes of preparation time for each team, with the debate format allowing the teams to cross-question the opponent's arguments. “This year's debate was different, as they allowed the teams to vote on the theme and motion of discussion, unlike previous years, when only the motion was a matter of choice for the opposition team,” said Siddharth, who represented IIT-Delhi. The final round was a match of opinions between the teams from National Law School (NLS), Bangalore and Ramjas College, Delhi University, with NLS emerging the winner after a unanimous decision by the judges. Vasudev Krishna from Hansraj College, nominated the best adjudicator, was the student adjudicator for the final debate.
