Annual KVM athletic meet concludes

Ludhiana, February 3 The 63rd annual athletic meet of Kundan Vidya Mandir culminated in a cultural extravaganza today. A big closing ceremony marked the accomplishment of this well-appreciated deed. M S Rai, chief commissioner of Income Tax, Ludhiana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In his address, S C Saxena, the school principal, said, "The sportsman’s spirit is the main lesson we teach through sports and this lesson once learnt can never go waste in life. It is the substance that makes life go on successfully."

Following the principal’s address was an enticing item ‘Twinkle-Twinkle’ by the tiny tots of the KG section. It was a feast to the eyes to see the little stars of KG section twinkling at the KVM. The Middle Section presented a wonderful combination of Aerobics and Yoga with their item 'Fusion'.

The bad weather did not dampen the spirits of the students as well as the staff. As many as 109 students were awarded by the chief guest. The chief guest also released the "school reporter." He was presented a memento by Ashwani Kumar, the Manager of KVM. The grand finale, a Rajasthani dance, was the show stopper.

V K Goyal, member of the Shri Kundan Lal Trust, was also there to grace the occasion. The function ended with the national anthem.

Boys: Vivek Paudel, V-B, Gandhi House.

Girls: Payal Deora, V-D, Subhash House,

Best Athlete (Middle Section)

Boys: Bhuvan Suri, VIII-A, Nehru House.

Girls: Eshana Jain, VIII-B, Nehru House.

Best Athlete (Senior Section)

Boys: Nitin Sharma, XI-G, Raman House.

Girls: Srishti, XI-C, Tagore House.
