Ludhiana, February 24 After Arshpreet, who was adjudged first runner-up in Awaz Punjab Di, the third edition of the show has got another participant from the city.

Manpreet Kaur, a former student of Ramgarhia Girls College, was selected for the grand finale, the results of which were declared today evening. Elated Manpreet says that she is sure that talent will reign supreme in the show and she would be able to do what Arshpreet fell just a step short of.

"I have full faith in the decision of music composer Jaidev Kumar and singer Malkit Singh, the judges of the show. I believe that my profession grooming by Anita Sharma and Rakhi Rawal at my college will be of immense help," said the 23-year-old lass.

After completition of her postgraduation, Manpreet is presently working as a music teacher in Drishti Public School, Narangwal. "Arshpreet also reached the grand finale but ended up as first runner-up. Though she is a great singer, it was said that the Punjabi touch in her voice was missing. But as per the judges' reactions so far, I have that Punjabi touch in order to be called Awaz Punjab Di."

Manpreet, who was initially apprehensive when she began her journey, gives all the credit to her brother Gurcharan who prompted her to take part in the show.

"And the fact that I am the third participant from the college to participate in the show and second from the college to reach the grand finale proves that there is something that we take from knowledge of music while performing on the stage. I can sing spontaneously, without any takes," adds the damsel confidently. Two winners, one each from among four boys and four girls who have reached grand finale will be selected next month.
