Panchkula, January 31 The District Health Department sealed a clinic in Mansa Devi Complex’s Bhainsa Tibba village today. Sarabjit Clinic was sealed after officials found that a doctor there did not possess valid documents.

The woman was also found in possession of instruments used to terminate pregnancy.

On Wednesday, Shubham Hospital in Sector 20, Panchkula, was sealed when certificates of the doctor running it were found fake.

Officials from the Health Department raided two clinics today: Pandey Clinic and Sarabjit Clinic.

“A two-member team of Drug Inspector Sarika Malik and District Health Officer M L Garg raided the clinics. Pandey Clinic was told to shut down or face a fine,” said Chief Medical Officer Kamla Singh.

“Pandey clinic was only authorised to deal in ayurvedic medicines but allopathic medicines were also found there. The certificates were in place. The doctor there was told to close down the clinic before five or face action. The clinic was closed down. At Sarabjit Clinic, we found that a woman, who claimed to be a doctor, did not have any documents or certificates. She also had instruments which are used to terminate pregnancy,” said DHO Garg.
