Panchkula, February 5 As part of the on-going drive to seal clinics being run by quacks in the district, the District Health department today sealed another clinic in Panchkula.

Acting on a tip-off, a two-member team raided and later sealed a dental clinic in Rajiv colony, Sector 17 being run by one Resham Kumar. The team had also sealed a clinic in Barwala yesterday after discovering that it being run by an unqualified doctor, one Kanta Kumari.

“It was at around 1 pm that I along with drug inspector Sarika Malik and Dr S K Verma, a dental surgeon, raided the clinic. We found that the man was unqualified to perform dental surgeries,” said ML Garg, District Health Officer (DHO).

He said Kumar did not even have any documents or certificates. Kumar fled after seeing the team, following which the clinic was sealed.

The DHO said the doctors of various Primary Health Centers have been authorised to check clinics under them and inform the health department in case unqualified doctors were running them.
