Solan The police busted a sex racket on Wednesday by arresting five men and five women from Zurich Resorts on the Kalka-Shimla National Highway, under Kandgahat police station.

The police had busted a similar racket last week, by arresting 12 persons, including five Delhi-based women, from Capcon Hotel near Kumarhatti.

Preliminary investigations suggested that all the women arrested on Wednesday, too, were from Delhi. After receiving a tip-off, a team of the police raided the hotel and arrested the ten under Sections 3 and 5 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.

The five men arrested by the team are Sonu Jolly, Baljeet Godra of Bikaner in Rajasthan, Raju Shukla, Rajesh Sharma and Santosh Kumar of Delhi.

Additional Superintendent of Police S.R. Rana, who supervised the entire operation, said the racket was being run under the pretext of arranging a dance party by the hotel owner, Sonu Jolly, in connivance with the other accused.

The district has a large numbers of hotels along the highway at Baddi, Nalagarh, Kasauli, Parwanoo, Chail, Dharampur, Jabali and other places.
