New Delhi Fill up AIIMS vacancies: Parliamentary panel
Expressing concern over the large number of vacancies at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), a Parliamentary committee has told the government to immediately fill them up and provide additional funds for the purpose. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health was also informed that the allocated funds would not be sufficient for maintaining infrastructure and patient care services at the premier health institute. The Centre has already written a letter to AIIMS Director R C Deka asking him to work out their requirement of additional funds.

Woman robbed on Metro train
A woman was robbed of Rs 40,000 while travelling in a Delhi Metro train on the Dwarka-Noida line, police sources said on Wednesday. The complainant, Madhu, employed with the Oriental Bank of Commerce, said she had boarded the train at Ramakrishna Mission Marg Metro station on Monday. When she reached Karol Bagh station, she realised that her bag was open and the cash amount missing, the police said. A theft case has been registered.
