The art scene in the city pays tribute to women with an exhibition by women artists, an art camp for rural women and a short film festival on women’s issues, in the days to come

Music
* A spiritual high awaits you at the concert Colors of Sound. Organised by Aperture India Art Gallery the concert will have a slide guitar performance by Amano Manish. The concert will be held on March 5 at 6:30 pm at ABC Farms, Ayurvedic Centre, Koregaon Park.
* Enjoy a Carnatic music concert on the keyboard by child prodigy, V G Vigneswar. Organised by the Poona Sangeetha Sabha on March 8 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Hall, off Senapati Bapat Road at 5.30 pm.

Art
* A refreshing palette of artist Ravi Deo will be on display till March 15 between 11 am and 7 pm at Art2Day Gallery.
* In aid of the Seth Tarachand Ramnath Charitable Hospital, HSBC has organised an exhibition ‘Art on Silk’ on March 7 to 9 at Amrai, opposite City Pride Multiplex, Kothrud, 6.30 pm onwards.

Workshop
* Indiaart Gallery will be organising water colour painting courses from March 8. For more information log on to www.indiaart.com
* Explore the future with Dilip Chhabria’s exhibition of paintings and sculpture installations on March 7 and 8 at the Tilting Art Gallery, Ishanya.

Salute to womanhood
* As part of its campaign to spread the spirit of International Women’s Day in society, Lokayat is organising a short film festival of women-related issues. The festival will screen six short films on March 7 between 4 and 7 pm at Lokayat Hall, Opp Syndicate Bank, Law College Road.
* Women artists showcase the spirit of womanhood with an exhibition of paintings and sculptures. To commemorate the International Women's Day, the Indiaart Gallery has organised an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by women artists that features women artists from all over India. The exhibition is on till March 19
* Enlighten the women of today at the art camp organised by the Art2Day Gallery. The art camp is for women artists in Rihe Village near Hinjewadi IT Park on March 5 between 3 and 5 pm.
* On the occasion of International Women’s Day,, Niche Stagecraft has organised a comic play Life on a Single Bed at the Nehru Memorial Hall, on Sunday at 6.30 pm.
