Jazz utsav, graphic art exhibition, sitar recital - all of it make for a riveting art treat in the days to come

Art
* Pay respect to all those who have laid down their lives on 26/11 attacks. Vinita Jadhav exhibits 15 of her paintings in her exhibition National Integrity. The exhibition is from January 1 to 13 between 11am and 7pm at J Studio art gallery.
* A painting exhibition, by Subhash Deshpande unfolding different layers of country's landscapes will be showcased. The money from the exhibition will be donated to Samavedana for the treatment of patients suffering from Hermatological Malignancies. The exhibition will be held from January 4 to 10 between11am and 8pm at Aperture India Art Gallery.
* The works of over 35 artists come together in a graphic art exhibition organised by Apatara. Employees of Apatara's Media Technology and eLearning Division come together to showcase their works. The exhibition will be held on January 3 and 4 from 10am to 8pm at Art 2 Day Gallery (near Jagtap nursery) off Golibar Maidan.

Art competition
* A nationwide art competition has been organised by the Rang Rasiya - Freedom of Expression Movement as a tribute to Raja Ravi Varma. You can enroll till January 5 on www.rangrasiya.com

Workshop
* Learn the moves of bollywood, salsa, and hip hop at Destiny Dance classes from January 3 at 59, Shivaji Housing Society, Senapati Bapat Road.

Music
* An open air musical concert will be held at Aperture India on January 3 from 6:30 pm onwards. The programme will have Sameep Kulkarni (disciple of Ustad Shahid Parveez) on sitar, Sarang Kulkarni (disciple of Pandit Rajan Kulkarni) on sarod and Sagar Bhagywan on tabla.
* Poona Music Society is organising a sitar recital by Shakir Khan, son of Ustad Shahid Parvez on January 3 at the Mazda Hall, Dastur School, Opp Ladies Club, Camp, 6:30 pmonwards.
* Much awaited Jazz Utsav will be held on January 4. The programme has been organised by Ishanya in association with Pune Jazz Club. The Jazz Junction, Adrian D'souza trio and Southern Quartet will be performing live at the utsav. The utsav will be held at Ishanya on January 4, 6:30pm onwards.
