Assault on revellers: Accused granted bail

Pune, January 7 Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) A K Mandavgade remanded Yuvraj Patil Dhankude (25), an accused in the PAN Card Club assault case, to magisterial custody on Monday. Dhankude was eventually granted bail by the Judge. Dhankude, who lived across the street from the Club, was arrested by the Chatushrungi police on Monday for his alleged role in assaulting party revelers on a New Year’s eve party.

He was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 15,000 and was also directed to give attendance at the Chatushrungi police station every day between 9 am to 12 noon, till January 11. “He was booked under IPC Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 324, 323 and 352, all of which are bailable offences related to rioting and voluntarily causing hurt,” said APP A V Ausekar.
