Athletes return after rich haul

Ludhiana The blind athletics team of Punjab won 22 medals in the National Para Olympic Championship which was held at Swai Maan Singh Stadium, Jaipur. The office bearers of Punjab Para Olympic association gave warm welcome to the jubilant athletes.

The president of association, Jeet Ram, estate officer PUDA, Parminder Singh, secretary, Madam Sara Johnson welcomed the athlete on their arrival. Dilavar Singh Bhatti, manager, coach Dalvinder Singh Minhas, Makhan Singh, Mohammad Isahq (coaches) said the captain Gurpreet Singh (B-2 category) won 2 gold medals in shot put and discus throw and 1 silver medal in javelin throw. Harmanpreet Kaur (B-3) won gold in javelin throw, silver in shot put, bronze in 200 meters, Gurbir Singh Dehlon (B-1) got gold in 100 and 400 meters.

Annual Athletics meet tomorrow
CHANDIGARH
The Annual Athletic Meet of Baba Jaswant Singh Dental College and Hospital will be held on March 4. All the students, interns, faculty and staff members will take part in the 3-day long meet. The meet will be inaugurated by Baba Jaswant Singh, chairman of college at 11.30 am. The outdoor games like badminton, cricket, football, volley ball, throw Ball, relay race and indoor games will be held.
