This was announced at the annual Digital Art Exhibition of Arena Animation here today in the presence of Rizwanur’s family members. The centre has also decided to award one student with a creative award.

Ranjan Bhattacharya, a former faculty of the centre, said Rizwanur was awarded with the best animator trophy in the annual digital exhibition a few years back.

He also said that Rizwanur was very keen on organising this event. “We dedicate the annual exhibition ‘FX 2008’ of Arena Animation in the memory of Rizwanur Rehman, a very popular and talented faculty member of the core group who popularised this digital exhibition,” said AD Singh, centre head of Arena, Chowringee.
