Mumbai Slumdog Millionaire’s success at the Oscars has brought fresh offers for its star kids. Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali have bagged roles in Kal Kissne Dekha, scheduled for release in April. They shot for a sequence at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Tuesday night

Kal Kissne Dekha claims to be the first Bollywood film to feature the young actors. For Azhar and Rubina, it marks an entry into Bollywood’s big league as the movie features Shah Rukh Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in cameo roles.

Their more glamorous co-stars from the Oscar-winning movie - Freida Pinto and Dev Patel - have already bagged big projects. Pinto has signed a Woody Allen film and Patel will shoot with Manoj Night Shyamalan.

Kal Kissne Dekha, directed by Vivek Sharma, also stars Jackky Bhagnani, son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, and Vaishali Desai, granddaughter of Manmohan Desai. Described as a “romantic thriller”, the film is a launch vehicle for Jackky. It’s being produced by his father’s production company, Puja Films.

Bhagnani said, “Kal Kissne Dekha is launching Jackky along with Vaishali. We have come up with something new for the audiences in the film.”
