Colva police station, which is investigating the case, has began intense combing operation after 27-year-old German national complained that unknown person molested her on the isolated beach stretch.
"While I was taking bath in the shallow water, some unknown person came and pulled my swim wear. I saw a dark complexioned man pouncing on me and somehow managed to free from him. He made good his escape through thick forest," she stated in her complaint.
The incident occurred on Friday night when complainant, who stays with another 31-year-old German lady friend, had gone on a beach for a late night stroll.
While her friend was waiting at one stretch, the complainant went ahead and later decided to take bath.
Confirming the complaint, Colva police inspector Edwin Colaco said the police have noted the description of the accused and will draw a sketch with the help of complainant.
"We will round up the suspects by evening," Colaco told PTI.
Goa has currently debating the safety of tourists on the beaches after British schoolgirl Scarlette Keeling was found dead on north Goa's Anjuna beach.

RatingI think we are obssesed with economic growth. Have we ever think about social growth? Law and order situation is growing from bad to worse while no one takes it seriously. We always talk about all kind of things we want to leave for next generation, however we do not ever think what kind of culture we are leaving behind.
What goans are nuts?Dont they have any sense of gratitude in them!but for GOAN tourism,they would have been in shambles.Now they attack their own bread giving tourists.Iam ashamed at the way we treat our brethren from abroad.this is not our culture or portugal culture.This will ultimately reduce Goa popularity in tourist circles.
Goans are not nuts but are becoming nuts due to the influx of migrants nd foreigners. Goa will die a slow death if we allow those nuts to come and invade our culture THEREFORE, Tourism is not Goa's bread and butter. Goa can survive without it, it is just more publicity and not much yield.
Cheap mentality,cheap upbringing and cheap surroundings makes a person very cheap.Such persons either become druggist,rapist,hawalebaaz and other criminals.These are the product of evil leaders.
This reminds me same type of case about a year back when 2 young Kiwi Children were kidnapped at Gunpoint from Sahara Aiport.All ordeal well described in book SAHARA to SATARA by distressed father with all communication he had with childine India, Kiwi Govt. and Kiwi Embassy but apathy of kiwi Embassy in dealing this matter was unpardonable. It is believe both children were abused and one of them killed during the proceeding, Body was buried without autopsy and local quack doctor certified death! Victim was threatened by police and abuser alike to face encounter killings! A speciality of Maratha police!!Scarlet's Mum is giving inspiration to fight against Indian Police and judiciary. Satara police (Mrs Jadhav ) and Childine Pune so far supported abusers and till now they were double crossing information about victim's where about to goons!!It is known dictum to label victims as criminals so that real criminals can be freed and Indian police is worst than mafia. Mafia do it for money but these guys do it for tax payers (evaders!)Well done Ms Macowen and May God give her strength and power to deal with corrupt Indian judiciary and police. This incident could be an eye opener for KIWI embassy In India and Kiwi Child welfare Dept NOT to act appropriately at that time. Clearly British Govt would have twisted arms of Indian High Commissioner at London to change of heart by Goan Police!!
Hand over the administration to Modi/Jayalalitha for 6 months – he/she will clean up all the muck ELIMINATE ALL DRUG CARTELS AND TERRORISTS so that common man can live peacefully and happily. He will restore Goa as leading holiday resort safe for any one. He is honest - runs a clean Government
But She, the Great JJ, will breed more corruption. She will open up another branch of MIDAS---her company that distributed alcohol solely to the Govt. run TASMAC liquor shops in entire Tamil Nadu!!! Further, she would open a "Headquarters" for manufacturing Drugs and make it legal!!!
If you allow liquor shops does not mean you will also breed free intoxicating drug industry. Gone are the days when the common man gets attarcted to sensational dirty news. What you say is in no way sensible or logical. As if your present administrators Karunanidhi and stalin are angels. The man who started corruption in Tamilnadu, and the family which has earned the maximum in Tamilnadu so far, STalin who raped more than a 100 girls- are these the people you support?- the people who went so low as to pull out the dress of Jaya in the assembly?. Friend, your style of sensationalist politics of playing on emotions is over- now its more logical decent politics. Mine is a response to Kumar. I do't know much about Modi but whole TAN knows about JJ's corruption liquor connections, TASMAC buying her MIDAS co liquor. So I mentioned and BTW why Stalin and MK are coming into this thread. As if if they did JJ can also do. You are biassed as you show who you are. If you want open another thread about MK and Stalin. Do not justify about JJ. Again, my respoense wa to Kumar about leading the show. read the artcile fully man and not just support JJ by attacking others.
As a Goan, I am dismayed at the turn of events and shocking molestings of foreign tourists of late.Worse still is the official attempt at a cover up. A murder needs to be dealt with according to the law.Its high time Goans, who rely so heavily on tourism for a living take a strong view against any sort of harassment of foreigners..as it is, we Indians have been the victims of Goan blackmail for private transport for years when vacationing in Goa!
This is NOT a news at all. If someone is NOT molested then only it is NEWS!
