New Delhi, March 21: Scores of Tibetans on Friday broke into the Chinese Embassy agitating against the crackdown on pro-independence movement in Lhasa by China.

The protestors scaled the walls of the Embassy located in the high-security diplomatic area in Chanakyapuri, waving Tibetan flags and shouting slogans against the Chinese government.

Police later took into custody all the protestors and managed to bring the situation under control.

The protest took place hours ahead of the arrival in the capital of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama.

Tibetan protestors barge into Chinese Embassy...... by A.A.Choudhari on 23 Mar 2008

From our national point of view, Tibet was correctly given recognition as an Independent buffer state by the United Kingdom. But our forefather peace loving leaders of the previous generation, hastily gave recognition to the state as part of China and instead of resisting the forcible occupation by Chinese of the Tibetan plateau, also tried our level best to get China entry as a permanent member of the Security Council. With what results?Does Chinese extant regime understand any peaceful language? Whatever the cost we have to help Tibetans.Even peaceful remonstrance from the countries world over forced United Kingdom to withdraw from the Suez Canal.Let us hope opposition from all other nations would force Beijing to see reason.

No one supress the aspiration for freedom. They can only delay it. China will crumble. by Anand Babu on 22 Mar 2008

Our moral support is with Tibetans. Who say we do not supporting Tibetans? We even gave an obode for their government in exile. That is where His Holines Dalai Lama is based. Of course we may not join in their street protests. Indians are already busy with the daily struggles of life. As a neighbour we have to be diplomaticaly correct also. Chinese scoundrals and the Paki eunuchs are already united against us. Let us keep our cool and protect our territory. Tibetans, Tamils in Sri Lanka they all need help but know how to get it. Indians will support them morally. Victory is yours, keep up the struggle.

these tibetian r pawns in hands of western bullies who r jelous of china and indias progress and r financing the problems . india should declare these law breakers as unwanted and send them back to china . as if independence or autonomy or nothing will be a decision of chinese govt and not indian. india welcomed dalai lama and tibetians when they were in shambles but now the new generation hooligans deserve no sympathy especially if want to breaks indian laws . the mess is made by dalai lama and his western backers india should wash its hands off.

We should support Tibetans by Ranita on 22 Mar 2008

I condemn the Indian govts efforts to muzzle the Tibetans and Taslima. China has never been a friend of India so why do we bow to their every request? Being guests of India does not mean we forget basic human rights.
