Sreesanth, who is known for his aggression, missed the ill-tempered four-Test series due to a shoulder injury but is now fit to play in the one-day tri-series.
"We never backed down. Why should we? We have players who can give it back with interest," Sreesanth said.
"What's the worst that can happen? Six sixes? I can always come back next over. All I need is just one ball to get (the batsman) out," he was quoted as saying by the Herald Sun.
Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his Australian counterpart Rickey Ponting on Thursday said a little bit if "chit-chat" is justified but the players of would be careful not to cross the line.
Sreesanth also warned the Aussies to be on their guards with him being a part of the ODI squad.
"The Aussies should be worried I am coming. Sreesanth's way is to be aggressive," he said.

Indian pace bowler Sreesanth is a shameless, gutless creature who is in the habit of opening his mouth too loud, justifying the adage "empty vessels make much noise". Being a trouble maker and ill-disciplined on the cricket field, he need a hard collar around his neck. Team India should ignore the rhetorics of Sreesanth in the interest of the game.

In the team selection process, there should one for mental maturity. Sreesanth should find it hard to clear that.
When the Aussie bowlers let their bowling talk (even non-bowler Michael Clarke bundled India again) Indians have to reply in kind. No amount of talking is going to get Sreesanth any respect. May be he will get some brownie points from some Indian fans, that is all. He only talks and performs poorly. He was hit for a six but did not 'come back' yesterday. He seemed scared of the Ausssie batsmen and that must change. He must bowl with confidence and he could take more wickets. Prasanna, Bedi, Chandra, Kumble, Gavaskar, Vishy, Dravid, Sachin and so many great players did not have to talk. They let their performance talk and so we remember them fondly. Sreesanth, you are fast becoming an embarrassment to India and her fans. Rememeber, most Indian players distanced themselves last time after your boorish behaviour. Time to become a hero and not a zero. Good luck!

S Sreesanth 3 0 25 0 8.33Those are the figures of the loud mouth and a person who shows big eyes and stares at opposition players. This type of people really are now spoiling the game's atmosphere. In fact, fans too are responsible for their behaviour as when they perform well once or twice (and not consistently), they start thinking due to fanfare and fan following that they are the best in the world. Learn from things around you. If you play well, everyone respects you, even your opposition respects you, may be grudgingly and fans like me are many - do not hero worship individuals but love the finer nuances of the game - so, if you want to have an universal appeal Mr Sreesanth, get your act in order.
Sreeshanth what you are going to give as interest? T20 yo have given 8.33 per over. I think in the ODI with 25% interest hope you will give 11 Runs perover
barking dogs never bite. SREESANTH MUST KEEP THIS IN MIND.
LEARN 2 B HUMBLE.PRODUCE RESULT.THEN U WILL GET RESPECT.OTHERWISE UR LOUGHINGSTOCK.
Shut up and play Mr Sreesanth,we will all respect you more if you can cross some of the great milestones set in fast bowling by a great paceman whose name was Joel Garner, who just smiled even when an umpire did not move or was hit ... but many of the West Indians and other pace bowlers let their deliveries speak ... so please shut up, grow up and play cricket. We shall be obliged and I will be your biggest fan when you take consistent five wickets hauls. You do not have to go very far, emulate Kapil Dev or Javagal Srinath or Venkatesh Prasad (remember that crucial match against Pakistan in Bangalore, that famous walk of Aamir Sohail who walked after hitting Prasad and Prasad got him the next ball). Ball like that and you will not be required to talk. If you are mature enough, you shall see around and realise why people LOVE Sachin Tendulkar and why all the big talkers are generally hated all around. That is the only human being I thought of having a life-sized picture in my place to inspire me of "deeds" and not "talks". So, for God's sake, shut up and play. Thank you.
YES, sreesanth needs to use more of his hands than his mouth!! He talks more, and performs little! He will get NO RESPECT! he needs to shut up! All his talking is also not good in the current atmosphere of tension. Mr. Sreesanth - SHUT UP! WE DON't BELEIVE YOU!
Thanks Ravi. Instead of only hands, he needs to use a little bit of the right parts of his head as well. Apart from that, the PRESS is definitely INTERESTED IN HIGHLIGHTING all these utterings as it gives them not only high sales but then they project these things as if there is a battle going on in between the sides and as if they are the gladiators who are after the blood of the other side!!! All need to calm down and treat the game as a game - winning or losing is part of the game - one should try to win by playing at the best of the skill levels, with cool head as also passion (for the game and not about getting into oneupmanship with an opposition player). Indian team played very poorly in the Twenty20 - does that mean it will never win again - no. It is just that you lose some (and get a good thrashing) and you win some - otherwise, it will be as dead and boring a game like two Williams sisters playing each other in almost all the women tennis finals all around the world. And respect fellow players - that is what is the only thing needed. So Mr SS needs to at least start working on his bowling.
