Badal made this announcement after a delegation of Mohali Industries Association (MIA) apprised him of their problems during his visit to Mohali on Saturday.
Issues of major concern, relating to compulsory weekly powercuts, peak load hour restriction and provision of more than one connection in a plot, were taken up.
Seeking to boost infrastructure in the industrial areas, the MIA delegation highlighted the bad condition of roads, irate water supply, non-existent streetlights and garbage disposal system.
Removal of Information Collection Centres (ICCs) was also requested in view of the hardship being faced during the intra-state movement of goods through ICCs located at state borders.
The memorandum also included problems relating to Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC), lack of facilities in Industrial Area Phase IX, Mohali, abolition of truck unions, VAT refund, state policy for development through clusters, earmarking of separate transport areas, plying of local bus service in the Industrial Area, railway reservation centre in Mohali and a post office within the industrial area.
The delegation included MIA senior vice-president Anurag Aggarwal, vice-president R P Singh, general secretary K S Mahal, former presidents R S Sachdeva, Gurmeet Singh Bhatia along with S S Aurora and A S Parmar.
