The best of Hindi film and television worlds came together at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai, on Friday. The occasion was The Global TV Honours, the Balaji Telefilms’ awards show. Shah Rukh Khan thundered on the stage, gyrating to his chartbusters, while the who’s who of showbiz applauded. But the real fun was when the small screen’s favourite daughters-in-law — Smriti Irani, Sakshi Tanwar and Rajshree Thakur — appeared on stage to give him company. Ali Asgar, Vikram Gokhale and Aditya Narayan bagged awards in prestigious categories, while Khan too had a reason to be happy: his Kaun Banega Crorepati: 3 won the Best Game Show Quiz. The guest list included Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Tusshar Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Suniel and Mana Shetty.

Showstopper Hearts melted, knowing that Ekta Kapoor and Irani have finally kissed and made up.
